Day 6 of my stay
After finishing four events, I was exhausted, but I've settled down a bit.
Finally, today marks the start of my buying trip.
The first place I chose was recommended by a friend in L.A.
On Maritime Records,
located in Highland Park.
It used to be a Mexican-American neighborhood for many years, but now it's a bit far from the city center (30-40 minutes drive from downtown). It feels like a quiet residential area with good治安 (public safety).
It's mainly an LP store, but as rumored, there were 7-inch records in the back...
We split up and managed to find some good stuff.
On the way back, we drove through Skid Row, out of morbid curiosity.
And arrived at our first accommodation for this trip.
$80 per night.
You clean and change the sheets yourself.
It's truly
a training experience
This motel seems perfect for it.
Tomorrow, I plan to explore East L.A.
