During this trip to the US, I really wanted my beloved Joe from Soulero to be a model for this T-shirt.
Many of my friends in the LA area are usually introduced through NiNa, but he is one of the few people I became friends with without any introduction.
He belongs to a car club called "Los Nite Owls" and drives a '51 Fleetline.
He used to have a radio show called "Nite Owl Music" on FM, playing Souldies, mainly Doo-Wop.
He is also very knowledgeable about Jamaican Doo-Wop and Jamaican Soul, and I've had the pleasure of visiting his home to learn from him.
His selection of music and his style are both superb.
His demeanor and actions are also cool.
Joe "Niteowl" is a senior I look up to, and I hope to age as gracefully as he has.
I hope we can both be healthy and meet again next year!
